MEET THE FOUNDER

Smt. Piyali Ghosh

"Piyali Ghosh is a distinguished exponent of Indian classical Odissi dance. She is among the fortunate few who have been blessed with the invaluable guidance and mystical touch of the legendary Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra."

At present, she continues her advanced training under the able tutelage of Guru Ratikant Mohapatra. Her initial training began under Guru Gandhari Nayak, followed by Poushali Mukherjee.

A dedicated performer and passionate ambassador of Odissi, Piyali's graceful presentation, profound expressiveness, and unwavering commitment to the traditional ethos of the dance form have earned her recognition and admiration. Her performances beautifully blend devotion, rhythm, precision, and aesthetic elegance, reflecting the timeless spirit of Odissi.

Piyali is also an accomplished and inspiring teacher, nurturing numerous disciples with sincerity and dedication while striving to preserve and propagate the rich heritage of Indian classical dance.

Academically, she holds a Master's degree in English Literature and has served as a school teacher. Further strengthening her artistic credentials, she completed her Master of Performing Arts (MPA) in Odissi Dance, graduating with a Gold Medal, a testament to her academic excellence and artistic mastery in the field of classical dance.

For Piyali, Odissi is much more than a performing art—it is a spiritual journey. The devotional essence of the dance has profoundly shaped her philosophy of life and her understanding of the cosmos. She embraces Odissi as a source of inner peace, healing, and self-realization, making it an inseparable part of her life's purpose.
